I’m thinking something went horribly wrong, or some officers don’t know what a ‘welfare check’ is. lol.
“Dispatch, doesn’t look good, I think we’re going to need the coroner.”
“Are you sure? Make sure she’s dead first.”
*BANG*
“Yep, she’s dead.”
Too few details (including if she actually had a weapon) to form and opinion, though at first glance, I can not understand why it was necessary for Jack-Booted THUGS (my new name for 95%$ of SWAT Teams) to go in and escalate the situation.
Described as an incident.
More like too many people trying to “help” someone, and not backing off, allowing themselves to be manipulated into having to protect themselves ostensibly. Watcha gonna do, when they come for you.
“We were trying to help her out, and get her the help she needed.”
These sort of police calls are not uncommon. However, police are conditioned to be of a “predatory” nature in confrontations, in which they won’t back down, even when that would have a better outcome.
So one alternative is using what could be called “counter barricades”, which would be to put bullet resistant panels in front of doors and windows. The idea is to prevent whoever is inside from easily shooting outside. Once such shields are erected, then the police can just back away to let things cool down.
“I’m here from the governement ,to help”. bang!
These cops were called to this place for a reason. My guess is that the woman was violent, and possibly suicidal.
