New Orleans Police Officers shot and killed a pitbull tonight as it was attacking a 5-year-old girl.
The incident happened in the 5500 block of Warrington in Gentilly.
Officials say the little girl was playing basketball in the neighborhood when a pitbull chased her into a backyard and attacked her.

As seen at the link below, the problem is real, and not limited to the feral Hippos referred to in crytozoological sightings throughout the rural US and on “The View.”
It’s only a matter of time before that cute cuddly Hippo in your neighbor’s pool “snaps” and takes out the Postman, a playful child or your beloved tabby cat.

It should be against the law ANYWHERE for pit bulls to be walked in a residential neighborhood. Keep it on your own property with appropriate restraint. There is an elementary school in our town with a pit bull housed right across the street...an accident just waiting to happen.
