The vitriolic, anti-government hate speech that is spewed on talk radio every day and, quite regularly, at Tea Party rallies is calibrated not to inform but to incite.

I doubt Robinson has ever been to a Tea Party. He has no idea of what he's writing about, he's just looking to malign us.
I've helped organize 3 Tea Parties in Rochester, NY last year and I'm currently working on the 2010 Tax Day Rochester Tea Party that we're going to have in a couple of weeks. None of our speakers ever tried to incite violence, the crowd was spirited, but well behaved and there was no racism. Any claims to the contrary are false.
For Robinson to claim otherwise proves that he's a hate monger and a liar.
Actually, it's calibrated to both inform and incite. After all, a good revolution incites the people to action.
Eugene Robinson writes like a little girl.
There - fixed your statement gene.
They don't understand what an all-in deal that is for many of us - and especially for those of us who swore an oath to defend our Constitution against all enemies foreign AND domestic. "If this be treason, then make the most of it."
They may win the first few engagements. But as for the rest...
You sure are! I remember the story that was posted here, on FR, on a Pro Bush march that was held in NYC and the vitriol and venom that was spewed towards the marchers.
The Rochester Tea Party Movement has made a point of having good relations with the City Hall and the Rochester Police Department and they actually like having duty at the Tea Parties. Partipants regularly thank the officers on duty and we cooperate with their directives.
Now, to contrast your point in your first post. Check out my commentary on the SDS march in Rochester on the anniversary of the Afghanistan War:
My Thoughts on the SDS Demonstration on 10/7/2009
Then contrast that with a video of the Tax Day Rochester Tea Party from last year:

It's like night and day, isn't it?
Not that I am aware of. You might try a search?
Lets just make it clear who the ‘haters’ are...
In an NBC interview, Washington Post reporter Eugene Robinson jumped on the Farrakhan bandwagon by saying that many black people in New Orleans held the same view. “I was stunned in New Orleans at how many black New Orleanians would tell me with real conviction that somehow the levee breaks had been engineered in order to save the French Quarter and the Garden District at the expense of the Lower Ninth Ward, which is almost all black, Robinson said. “These are not wild-eyed people. These are reasonable, sober people who really believe that.”
Eugene Robinson: Obama needs to fight, not switch
It’s ironic that President Obama could never be convincing as populist in chief. He had a modest upbringing, and he needed scholarships and loans to pay for his fancy education. He is no stranger to the struggles of everyday Americans.
By contrast, George W. Bush was raised amid great wealth, privilege and power. Yet Bush was able to project an Everyman folksiness that made people forget his heritage. Obama just doesn’t give off that guy-next-door vibe. Even if he were to roll up his sleeves, loosen his tie and start talkin’ like his predecessor, nobody would buy the act.
You're probably right on all counts. Maybe the best strategy would be to put Robinson and similar media critics on the spot. Call them out by publicly inviting them to tea party events and make sure plenty of video cameras are rolling to record what happens. If they refuse to attend make that into a media circus as well.
Take a lesson from their own strategist Alinsky who wrote: Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.

Damn right it is, so here’s 2 words for you, “Shut the F@ck Up!”—Robert Deniro-Midnight Run.
Remember this photo:
Contrast it with this photo:
Obama looks like a fish out of water there. He was raised as the "golden boy" and I bet he's never done manual labor in his entire life.
Yes, it is supposed to incite people to come and vote out the Democrats in november. That’s what political speeches are supposed to do.
Inciting only becomes a problem if people figure out that they have no political voice, like if the majority party shuts out the minority, bends the rules, and tries to rig the elections.
The left seems to forget that the original “Boston Tea Party” was a form of physical vandalism against the ruling government, performed because the people had no political voice.
The Left has been spewing hate and inciting violence at least since the 1960’s that I can remember. If the Right acted like the Left or ever did half of what they are accused of, the Left would die of sheer fright.
Don't forget mindless tool.
I'm waiting to hear the 60's Boomers scream when their enlightened policies are turned on them because they're too expensive to take care of in their old age.
