Frank Mir vs Shane Carwin, woohoo!
To: LongElegantLegs
That's the one I'm waiting for. I dont know who to select. I like them both, but Mir is a grappling animal and Carwin is a thug that throws bombs.
Some of the other undercard fights have been good.

Team Carwin, all the way! Mir is a lucky loudmouth.

Are these still PPV, or are they telecast on Spike (or somewhere else)?

Um...Good question; it looks like the preliminary matches were on Spike, but the main card is PPV...

I wouldnt say he's "lucky." His story is truly inspirational and he has earned his way back to being a contender. He grapples better than anyone in the HW, but i just see Carwin being in the same fashion as Lesnar. If carwin gets on top, how does a grappler stop the bombs (each one could KO him) long enough to twist him in a position that Gumbys dominatrix would be proud of? If I hae to pick, I saw Carwin, but will not be sad if Mir wins. They will meet again, for a belt.
I'm waiting patiently for the Machida/Hua rematch.

Yeah, there’s a movie (Halloween) on Spike now. Ah well.
Haven’t seen a live UFC since the early ‘90s when I used to pirate them in on satellite dish (back when the dishes were the size of radio telescopes). ...when Royce Gracie won every year and there were no weight classes.
I’ve seen a few since then, but only a week or so after the fact (on Spike).

Spike shows a lot of stuff so keep a look out for them. Do you have the channel “Versus”?

Fine, then, he’s an incredibly skilled loudmouth! ;-)
I still think Carwin’s going to wipe the mat with him...

Apology not accepted. The crime of double posting is absolutely unforgivable under any circumstance. Just kidding of course. Have a great Saturday night

I just looked at the guide, and lo and behold I do have Versus. Thanks, I'll keep on eye on that station.

Yes, watch for the channel listings. They show WEC fights (smaller weight classes) and now they are having some live UFC events on there. As a matter of fact they had a live UFC event on there last Sunday night.

Bocek should’ve wrapped up that fight in round 2 with Miller’s arm being trapped in that body triangle.
