The angry faces at Tea Party rallies are eerily familiar. They resemble faces of protesters lining the street at the University of Alabama in 1956 as Autherine Lucy, the school's first black student, bravely tried to walk to class.
Those same jeering faces could be seen gathered around the Arkansas National Guard troopers who blocked nine black children from entering Little Rock's Central High School in 1957.
"They moved closer and closer," recalled Elizabeth Eckford, one of the Little Rock Nine. "Somebody started yelling, 'Lynch her! Lynch her!' I tried to see a friendly face somewhere in the crowd -- someone who maybe could help. I looked into the face of an old woman and it seemed a kind face, but when I looked at her again, she spat on me."
Those were the faces I saw at a David Duke rally in Metairie, La., in 1991: sullen with resentment, wallowing in victimhood, then exploding with yells of excitement as the ex-Klansman and Republican gubernatorial candidate spewed vitriolic white-power rhetoric.
People like that old woman in Little Rock, the Alabama mob that hounded Autherine Lucy, the embracers of Duke's demagoguery in Louisiana, never go away.
They were spotted last weekend on Capitol Hill under the Tea Party banner protesting the health-care-reform bill. Some carried a signs that read "If Brown [Scott Brown (R-Mass.)] can't stop it, a Browning [high power weapon] can." Some shouted racial and homophobic epithets at members of Congress. Others assumed the role of rabble, responding to the calls of instigating Republican representatives gathered on a Capitol balcony. [emphasis mine]

That is the beauty of the Tea Party. You can't attack one person so you try to smear the "group". It only serves as fuel for us. We are not lead by anyone in particular, we are lead by the values and principals set forth in our Constitution, and we make that clear when speaking to or vetting candidates. We are not a political party in the true sense. We are a movement, that is growing by leaps and bounds.
And it's working wonders for them, Greg. It's only "beautiful" in your own mind.
And lest you forget ... the original "Tea Partiers," not to mention the men who wrote the Constitution, were part of an organized movement that had recognized leaders.
Exactly! There is NO PROOF and NO CREDIBLE person making the charge.
BTW, they are not just using these tactics against "tea party" people they are accusing all right wingers, and that might include you unless you are the left wing troll you appear to be.
It's their only card left. Feeble ad hominems.
RAMP IT UP.
ESCALATE IT IN THEIR FACES.
None so blind as those who will not see. And, btw, it's spelled "drivel."
BTW, they are not just using these tactics against "tea party" people they are accusing all right wingers, and that might include you
Never suggested otherwise. But I'm not in denial about the effectiveness of the tactic.
unless you are the left wing troll you appear to be.
And, of course, the usual descent into adolescent mindlessness, just to remind us all who the real idiot is in this exchange.
Hey girl!
How’s the fishing? GArdening? Working my ass off here! LOL
These “reporters” and such remind me of some of the spastic parents at children’s ball games—the ones who make you feel like you need a rabies shot to get anywhere close to them, much less sit next to them on the bleachers.
Yawn.
No one does hate like the left:

Anytime a leftwinger complains about threatening behavior from conservatives, just direct them to the above link. It’ll have them stammering right quick.
But I will call out the violent extremists on the Right in their hypocrisy as well, as they most closely resemble what they espouse to despise: Bill Ayers and the WeatherUnderground and the extremists of the SDS.
You cant have it both ways. Violence is not the answer.
Could you find some examples of “violent extremists on the Right”, please?
Show us the violence committed by and not on the right wing...troll. I mean examples say..umm...within the last 50 years or so.
Meanwhile...militant muslim extremist camps exist right here, three within 100 miles of me. Groups that have actually KILLED people...and nothing is done. NOTHING.
So go back in your hole and STFU. We got this.
We’ve had numerous threads on the birther issue where the kneepad obamanoid sycophants have used the ridicule tactic so much now that it is too obvious their loaylties are not with conservatism. There is a growing list of posters, and they appear to be a protected species at FR ... for now. The Romneybots and Rudites were like that for a while ...
I do hope that you can come up with “extremists on the Right” that are comparable to Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground, SDS and Black Panthers.
I’m really really interested.
There’s a bunch of quite new ones. The militia arrest has gotten them all excited.
