CHICAGO (AFP) A pit bull is on probation after ripping the bumper off a police car and chewing the tires on three other cars flat as two other dogs barked and wagged their tails, local media reported Friday.
The brown and white mixed breed named Winston spent two weeks locked up in the Chattannooga, Tennessee animal shelter after the bizarre attack was captured on a police surveillance camera.
His owners said they had no clue why he went wild that day, chewing through two fences and attacking four different cars.
He'd never shown any aggression before that day, owner Nancy Emerling told the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

I read about this last week, but the story was pretty slim and there were no pics, so I didn’t post it.
Woof!
BTW, it wasn’t my dog. Too much paperwork.
My question is, Was the Officer’s Accelerator broken?
My Second question is, If it wasn’t why didn’t he step on it?
My third question is, why didn’t the officer help out cleaning the doggy gene pool?
I nominate that dog for Chairman of the RNC.
Awwww- ALL dogs do that! Lookit them mean, vicious poodles!
Tear the air-freshener right off your car, man! /sarc
A hundred other breeds to pick and people KEEP getting pitbulls and then have the nerve to be surprised when they act like...pitbulls.
Wasn’t there a story posted here a little over a week ago about a Bulldog that attacked the tires and bumper of a police car? I’m almost positive that article was about a Bulldog.
Did you notice the other story at that link?
Drunk Pa. man tried to revive dead opossum
Ewwwwww!
Because it wasn’t a sweet family pet.
Cheap plastic bumper. The dog couldn’t have done that to chrome-plated steel.
My dad has a funny story about pulling an irrigation pipe trailer behind his pickup near dusk after buying it at a farm sale.
You see the tire on the railer was kinda flakey so he drove the back gravel roads at 25mph or so, every farm dog that used to chase after people’s cars on his route home didn’t any more. They would start chasing the truck and ignored the trailer cause it blended in with the dust since it was dusk outside. The dog would chase the pickup, and then it would stop for a second and the pipe trailer would catch up with the back of the dog’s head. My dad really felt bad about it, for a few minutes anyways.
lol. right.
Answers the eternal question: what would the dog do if he actually caught the car he was chasing.
He’s just a pup going through his teething stage and that police car looked like one really big teething ring!
Okay, it’s cool when a dog actually knows what he wants to do when he catches a car.
...a quiet dog, who kept to himself....
Chet doesn't get up until about 3pm. His mother wakes him up when she comes downstairs to do laundry in the basement
WALK YOUR DAMN DOG!
^^^
That’s what I was thinking.
Courtesy ping to Chet would be nice.
My $20,000 dollar car would have gone over that 10 cent dog one time with nothing left over.
Ever heard of a courtesy ping?
The perennial classic pitbull owner response. Good thing it was tires and not kids.
That having been said, I wish I had been there to see a dog rip a bumper off a police car...
