Remember, we cannot win every race, but with Corrine, Alcee and only 170 other Dems in the House, who cares!

"No Republican has ever defeated a Black Dem in a Minority-Majority district such as Browns FL-3. In fact, since these M-M districts were formed, no one, anywhere, nationwide, has even beaten a Black Dem."That's because Dems don't judge people based on the color of their skin.
Oh, and they care about the "little guy", too. That's why they hate killing unborn children so much.

The districts were designed to be permanently Black. Brown's FL-3 starts in the Black section of Palatka, runs up a sliver of land to the Black section of Jacksonville, then down to the Black sections of Deland and Orange City, down to the Black sections of Eatonville and Orlando. A textbook example of "Politicians choosing their voters, rather than the other way around".

I think this is a good plan — and one reason that I doubt that anyone will oppose Tammy Baldwin (white lesbian) in Madison, WI.

Well, I care for one. I live in her gerrymandered district and before we moved we were in Anders Crenshaws District. It sucks to have this woman representing us.
I understand demographics. And my guess it was the GOP that gerrymandered this district so GOP could get and hold the three surrounding districts.

Do you have anything more ‘detailed’ than the ‘black’ section? I understand Democrats wanting to label in colors; that doesn’t mean you do as well.

If you guys in Florida mainain a Republican Legislature and a Republican Governor, you may be able to redraw those congressional districts based on the 2010 census.

There are three or four Republicans running right now.

Instead of being defeatist, how about if we find a candidate that can educate and expose the left and how they keep minorities under their thumb through false promises and fear-mongering? IE, don't get a typical politician but someone with the brass ones to tell it like it is. I would love to see more people like
Alfonzo Rachel who can really challenge the stereotypes the left uses to keep people down.

“The smart move is to NOT run anyone against her. We cannot win the seat, and ANY opponent only adds 20,000 Dem voters to the statewide races on election day.”
Yeah, there is truth to that sadly.
Still, it is hard to just cede away congressional districts like this. I’d think it’s better to just keep trying until one day maybe, just maybe, enough black folks realize Corrine Brown is a complete embarrassment to their district and a horrible reflection on themselves.
But, as of now, black people tend to vote for whoever offers them the most freebies. The number two issue tends to be about whomever bitches a lot about whitie. Black voters will virtually always vote for ANY Democrat over a Republican, but strongly prefer a Black Democrat over any other option. Also being well spoken, educated, reasonable intelligent, etc are not really qualifications most black voters are looking for. Corrine Brown being a prime example of this.
Sad state of affairs, but I think we gotta keep putting up candidates and hope one day things change.

Breitbart is thinking of making a "Big Tolerance" website to go with his Big Hollywood, or so I was reading at Hillbuzz.
Do you realize what a boon that would be, an opportunity to highlight the black-on-white racism that is the real "race" story today? A way to expose the Tawanna Brawley, the astroturf, ACORN...

wrong headed thinking more competition would be better. The GOP could sit it out if they want but she needs a primary opponent to the left of her if that is possible and a general opponent from say constitution party, libertarian party all opponents should be selected to be properly complected for the district believe me you could find the candidates there are still small business people out here of every complexion that do not like the dictates from DC.
