'Goldfinger' still glitters as a James Bond movie soundtrack

It's the adventure that made the James Bond series about the music as well as the movie.

If there's any doubt of the impact the sound of "Goldfinger" had, and still has, consider that the 1964 classic ranks eighth on Turner Classic Movies' recently issued list of 15 Most Influential Film Soundtracks -- behind "Psycho" and "A Hard Day's Night" but ahead of "The Graduate" and "Saturday Night Fever."

Anytime I hear “American Woman” (Guess Who) I think of Heather Graham.

“No Time Left for You” was good, too.

The two of them would have done better than David Arnold although I do like the TWINE OST.

Neat, you’ve shown me picts of these before. Did you buy yourself one?

[play the music]
No music to play. Hard to make out the names of a couple of the songs.

.

That is the “Pop-o-Matic” version of the classic 50’s “Wall-o-Matic” that I ran across, found and bought

Trying to find a Song Selector (or make one) I can fit inside the front clear section - and rig a small low-wattage lightbulb source inside it

Mine is 99.90% exactly the same in size, appearance, details as that original booth or table remote coin-operated jukebox Seeberg Wall-o-Matic in the photo I just posted

Can you drill a hole in the back of it? They make a plug in cord for one Christmas tree light bulb. I have drilled holes and put them in Manger Scenes over the years.

.

It actually is an electric popcorn popper

There is an electric cord/plug and a rocker switch on the back of it

I plan to remove the back panel and remove the heating element part and use the switch and the existing cord to control a small lightbulb socket

No big rush -

I grabbed it just before someone else spotted it

The area behind the front clear center panel where you view and select the songs is a satin black right now

I’ll have to take a good look and make some sketches and approximate measurements of the (CD retro coin-operated booth Seeberg Wall-o-Matic wall units at Lucky’s downtown

Yes, you had told me about that before. Guess you talked about it, showed me the picture and then bought it.

Pretty cute for a popcorn popper. You would have to buy a socket to put on the cord but most take large bulbs. The kind I spoke of with a white light works well and is cheap.

I am thinking that perhaps the small plug-in night lights would light it up enough inside behing the song selector panels

I have a few here already - easy to rig and no heat problemos - one is adjustable as far aa light output and turns on when it is dark - but that can be adjusted too - the other one has a 6 watt light equivilent to a 30 watt stard bulb

The lights in them last forever - and they are El-Cheapo to begin with -

Yes, nightlights are the same size as the old fashion Christmas bulbs.
That’s the kind I was meaning. We sure get off topic!!
