No Winter Break for us—we celebrate Christmas, Easter, etc.
Christmas programs consist of Christmas Music! Never had a complaint:) Prayers at Graduation—no problem! We do it!
It does make me feel sad when EVERY school is included in discussions about the bad ones! I know there are bad schools and crazy liberal policies-but there are great schools too!
Your school is not typical of the majority of schools in the US.
I was under the impression that all public school teachers are required to join the NEA. From your statement it would appear that I am under a misconception.
Thank you and your husband for sticking in there! I wish there were more districts and schools like yours. It seems to be the exception to the rule nowadays though. Would you agree, or am I off-base on that as well?

I see you are in south dakota, i guess it’s a different world there and is more Americana than many other states. It’s also the same state where they wanted to make abortion illegal only to have the National RTL work against the pro-life senator who wanted the anti-abortion bill passed.
