Oh yeah, and just heard some snippet on radio news — something about a push to end those little ‘toy’ giveaways in kid meals as they supposedly encourage junk food eating by kids. Not sure if this was some local push or national.
Hey nanny-staters — how far ya gonna go? Get your mitts off the kids’ ‘toys’ in their little meals. Nobody can have any fun anymore!
You know, even in “socialist” Europe, they don’t do that.
One thing they do that I liked in Germany, each restaurant is required to post a copy of their menu outside the door. I was told this is a good way to know exactly what the restaurant has on the menu, and prevent anyone getting embarrased if it’s an expensive place.
Calorie counts is just tacky and gay. I would much prefer that country of origin labeling laws be required for all food products, derived products and restaurant food. I don’t want that crap.
