So, you are going to lower yourself to making threats against a person? Just keep in mind that I have the right to defend myself against not only aggressive dogs, but their owners too. Be careful of what you wish for - the other guy just might be packing.
FYI, I have no fear of any dog, Pit Bull’s included. This is because I have the means with me to stop an attack dead in it’s tracks. Given that Shepards have a much lower likelihood of attacking, I’m not concerned about Shepards at all. I’m also not concerned about those who make threats.
Also, FYI, I’m a member of PETA - People for the Eating of Tasty Animals.
Big man. ROFL!
PETA and any other number of animal rights groups heartily endorse breed specific bans, but they do so in order to set a precedent to reach their stated goal of banning animal ownership altogether. Pits are easy targets because there are incidents that almost always arise from irresponsible, inexperienced owners, and like with all other leftist agendas, once you whip up passions and emotions, no amount of logic or fact is going to turn that around. They know that. If you think a ban on pitbulls would solve dog maulings, or that they would be the last breed banned, you're truly a dim bulb. The irresponsible owners would gravitate to chows, akitas, mastiffs, etc., breed them for aggression, and we'd have the same problem we do have with pits now (and I acknowledge there's a problem, but that it's almost always the result of the breeder and/or owner).
If you want to solve this, focus on the people who are responsible and hammer them. And don't buy into the inflammatory press, which frequently misidentifies the breeds...
