[When Churchill says below that, “Hitler deliberately gave the impression to his Italian host that there was no question of Germany launching a land offensive in the West,” he appears to be contradicting Shirer’s account of the meeting on the 18th (see reply #3), where Hitler said he “had no intention of postponing his attack in the West.” – Homer]
