Better you should say, “I take my chances, and I will go to jail.”, because that is what happens to tax evaders. Honestly, I wish you no ill will (in fact quite the opposite). But tax evasion, if that is what you are suggesting, is just going to get you into a heap of trouble. Personally, I have known a number of folks that have tried this, and most have ended up in Leavenworth. The best you can hope for when that happens is to have south facing windows. It’s cheerier that way because you get some sun.
Of course, perhaps it’s safer to wait out the coming civil unpleasantness from within a cell. I’d prefer to be a bit more pro-active re. the tasks that are facing us, but to each his/her own. Not paying taxes as a protest will just get you in trouble. Tax avoidance is legal and could be considered patriotic. A person that needs more income would, of course have to pay some taxes.
