Enough is enough! If these CRAZIES in the majority can DEEM a BILL passed, we should just DEEM our taxes paid.
Yeah, DEEMocrats...they get away with murder! Literally!
Heh, good one!
Unfortunately, they will probably then deem that we forfeit all of our assets and go to jail after that.
Sounds good to me. At first I was opposed to deeming, but after seeing how useful and profitable it can be I am now strongly for it. Lets all deem away for fun and profit.
We just deemed that our census has been done.
I’ve thought that very thing. And a huge refund, too!
Yeah, good luck with that. The IRS will deem you convicted and deem you in jail.
POOF!!!! No More Taxes!!! ;)
bttt
So does this mean that he has been deemed in the census?
I didn’t find this posted but here it is anyway.
E-mail circulating..
Look what Harry Reid Hid deep in the Health Care Bill
Unbelievable - Harry Reid Hidden deep in the Health Care Bill this passage.
They never stop, they will keep trying to shove this down our throats until they get it through...pass on to everyone...
The impudent tyranny of Sen. Harry Reid
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada is proving once again the maxim that darkness hates the light.
Buried in his massive amendment to the Senate version of Obamacare is Reid’s anti-democratic poison pill designed to prevent any future Congress from repealing the central feature of this monstrous legislation!
Beginning on page 1,000 of the measure, Section 3403 reads in part: “. it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.”
In other words, if President Barack Obama signs this measure into law, no future Senate or House will be able to change a single word of Section 3403, regardless whether future Americans or their representatives in Congress wish otherwise!!
Note that the subsection at issue here concerns the regulatory power of the Independent Medicare Advisory Board (IMAB) to “reduce the per capita rate of growth in Medicare spending.”
That is precisely the kind of open-ended grant of regulatory power that effectively establishes the IMAB as the ultimate arbiter of the cost, quality and quantity of health care to be made available to the American people. And Reid wants the decisions of this group of unelected federal bureaucrats to be untouchable for all time.
No wonder the majority leader tossed aside assurances that senators and the public would have at least 72 hours to study the text of the final Senate version of Obamacare before the critical vote on cloture. And no wonder Reid was so desperate to rush his amendment through the Senate, even scheduling the key tally on it at 1 a.m., while America slept.
True to form, Reid wanted to keep his Section 3403 poison pill secret for as long as possible, just as he negotiated his bribes for the votes of Senators Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Bernie Sanders of Vermont behind closed doors.
The final Orwellian touch in this subversion of democratic procedure is found in the ruling of the Reid-controlled Senate Parliamentarian that the anti-repeal provision is not a change in Senate rules, but rather of Senate “procedures.” Why is that significant?
Because for 200 years, changes in the Senate’s standing rules have required approval by two-thirds of those voting, or 67 votes rather than the 60 Reid’s amendment received.
Reid has flouted two centuries of standing Senate rules to pass a measure in the dead of night that no senator has read, and part of which can never be changed. If this is not tyranny, then what is?
DON’T SIT BY AND LET THIS HAPPEN IN THE DARK!!! FORWARD TO EVERYONE ON YOUR LIST!
This sounds clever ... but is a monumentally lousy idea.
I’ve spoken to this in other threads — but I am a tax attorney. Filing a return with “come and take it” or “deemed paid” or some other nonsense written on it will likely get you labeled a “tax protester”, and slammed with an immediate $5,000 penalty for filing a frivolous tax return.
The IRS is EXTREMELY hard on people they determine are “tax protesters”. If you don’t fix the return and pay the fine quickly, they’ll fast-track you into the wage levy/ property lien process — wherein they’ll roast your credit report, encumber your property, and take 75%-90% of your wages. If, for whatever reason, the dispute continues ... they’ll take you to tax court to liquidate assets, seize houses, cars or other property, etc. If you’re a business owner, they’ll shut you down.
“Tax Protester” cases are literally the ONLY instances in which I have seen the IRS send armed Marshals to seize a house. The IRS typically makes examples of tax protesters just to caution others against filing “come and take it” or “deemed paid” returns. They will make your life miserable as an example to other people considering this course of action.
This bill is entirely unconstitutional, and a travesty ... but you don’t want to screw with the KGB (IRS) on this. I’d leave the IRS out of it.
SnakeDoc
And like Rush said yesterday, since Obama is now polling lower among the American people than the percentage of votes McCain got, we should deem McCain as president now.
Deem us Pissed.
Me too. Filling it out would have been too deemanding.
Well, I was telling my husband the other day... I always loved and respected the women who went to jail to help give us the RIGHT to vote.
Maybe I can return the favor for future, HARD WORKING AMERICANS so they will not be SLAVES to the non-producers.
Damn straight. My taxes would ‘be paid’ just as well as this bill would ‘be passed’.
Taxes are bullsh1t anyway, as former Federal Reserve Chairman have admitted. When you have fiat money and fractional lending/fractional currency, when the money you make out of thin air is not based on anything of intrisic wealth,
what is the point of taxes? They can print money like water and have been doing so. Taxes in this nation are TOTALLY punitive, for CONTROL of people - the ONLY real reason.
It’s just like ethanol. Fuel-injected cars do not require fuel additives like ethanol to make the gas burn cleaner. Computer controlled ignition systems, since 1985, adjust themselves and monitor themselves based on the quality level of gas you have in your tank, and optimizes the fuel injection process. The only cars that really needed it were cars with carburators that were set to run rich, or were in need of a tune-up. They hardly exist in any number to justify ethanol.
You didn’t get AIDS in prison back then either.
Plus girl jails are a lot different than boy jails.
Yes you make excellent points. It is really a sad state that we live in, huh?
The TAX PAYER is the one who is always demonized, not the Tax Recipients. Just once, just once it would be NICE the federal gov’t says THANK YOU to us tax payers.
Instead it is XXXX-You!
