It’s the name of a bank. They are all over KY, WV, and VA.

Cincinnati based bank.

“The name Fifth Third Bank comes from the merger of two large Cincinnati-based banks, the Fifth National Bank of Cincinnati and the Third National Bank of Cincinnati.”

What is a fifth third bank?

The name came about with a merger of The 3rd National Bank and the 5th National Bank in Ohio I believe. I read the history of the 5/3 Bank some time ago.
