There’s no way you can click back to Yahoo Classic?
Thanks, FReepers!! You guys are great - and fast!!
That also characterizes Facebook. A crappy website that everyone moved to (despite its failings and then when they get accustomed to how it works, Facebook changes it again...).
With my new computer at work I lost Admin rights. My just retired computer had firefox. I’m now stuck with IE 6 and get constant warnings from sites telling me to upgrade to a “modern” browser.
Unless you are in my predicament, I recommend getting one of the “modern” browsers and your problem will be solved. They are all free.
Check your settings, I’m on IE 7 and just tested it out. Works fine.
BEWARE....
Internet Explorer 8 WILL NOT work on your Commodore 64!
Is there a way to save a shortcut (Bookmark) to your desktop with Firefox like you can do with IE?
LOL!!! < :D
Yep. Just drag and drop to your desktop.
I think you are wrong about this. I have yahoo mail and they are not trying to force me to upgrade. I don’t even use IE. Maybe you should just start using
Firefox.
Use gmail
Yahoo mail did the same thing regarding my version of Firefox this morning. An interesting thing I have noticed is that sometimes when I start typing a web address in the address window it will automatically kick down to the yahoo search box. Has Yahoo messed with my browser in some sneaky way to increase the Yahoo search use?
How old is your computer? If it is in any way speed challenged, then IE8 will grind it to a halt. Even FireFox is getting bad. I would personally recommend Chrome, its lean and mean. Safari and Opera are other similar alternatives.
Nope, I was getting the whole-screen pop-up each time I tried to get into my email. I finally clicked ‘no thanks, take me to my inbox’ as someone suggested, and I’m in now.
It’s brand new. Just got it in September.
Yes, I have that and that’s what’s not always working. I can go in to yahoo.com directly, but then the mail link isn’t always working either. I imagine it’s something they’ll fix soon enough, it’s just been off-and-on for a couple of days.
I switched over recently to Thunderbird from Pegasus that I used for many years.
So far I have no complaints with it.
Looks like on the far right hand side OPTIONS you can switch back to Classic. Nice. I still don’t like Yahoo because their News spews the AP/DNC liberal propaganda.
Can’t you switch to Firefox or Chrome. Yes, it’s lame that Yahoo is forcing you to switch, but IE6 is a terrible security risk anyway.
