“Just messin. I really can’t drink the stuff though. Now Guinness is a whole different story........”
Black Bush is my favorite - from before it was available here in the US. I lived in Ireland ‘78-’81 and had to bring it back with me on all trips. Smooth, has the color and hint of the sherry from the casks it is aged in. Best way is to drink it neat, the way the Irish do.
As for the Guinness, that to is great stuff. Again, as the Irish drink it...ambient temperature. Guinness must be brewed in Dublin to be good - forget the London stuff. Stuff from the keg, of course is far better than bottled stuff, though I like bottled Guinness too.
Today is a day for chasin’ the Black Bush with Guiness!
And this evening, an Irish coffee, made with Black Bush, of course. When I lived there the local folks liked my Irish coffee better than their own :)
