I felt the same way in regards to the genealogy aspect.

Which is why I put year and month of birth, similar to the 1900 census. What was good enough then is good enough now.

There is only ONE race, the Human Race. There are ethnic groups, but only one HUMAN race. To make up other races is to insist that some are different than others, better or worse than others. They made up races to justify slavery.

Don’t have a house phone number - not giving out cell numbers. In fact, I’m disinclined to answer any question but number of people in the home (though, I think I’ll write in American for ethnicity just to screw with them).

A person I know, a bachelor, is going to put himself down as #1 person, and his 11 cats as the other ones. They all have people names.

He says they are all Samoan.

I wonder how many people make a complete fiction of it.

Genealogists and Anthropologists are going to look back in history (from some time in the future) and conclude that the family unit had already changed dramatically by the year 2010 — and use this guy (and others like him) as proof that the traditional family unit had long gone by the wayside... LOL ....

I filled in the number of people and nothing else in that section. Left 2, 3 and 4 unanswered. As for the info on the individuals, for each one indicated nothing (no name, sex, or age) but did mark the race box as Some Other Race and wrote in “American”

Yours sounds pretty close to mine. I did answer 2 since it was related to the actual enumeration. 3-6 blank. 7 I gave age but no birth dates. Race box just like you "Other-American".

I gave them their own 866 number. I wonder if they will even know.
