An obese mother in the US is trying to put on weight in order to become the world's fattest woman.

Donna Simpson, from New Jersey, weighs 273kg but told the Daily Mail newspaper she had her heart set on reaching her goal weight of 1000lb (450kg) in two years.

The 42-year-old already holds the title of the world's fattest mother after giving birth to her daughter in 2007 when she weighed 241kg.

"I'd love to be 1000lb ... it might be hard though, running after my daughter keeps my weight down," Ms Simpson told the Daily Mail.

Ms Simpson, who needs a mobility scooter to go shopping, eats huge amounts of junk food each week and tries to move as little as possible so she doesn't burn off as many calories.

not to mention the purchase of a mobility scooter and all the other expenditures to meeT this dysfunctional family’s needs.

She better hope the scooter holds up 'cause no more free scooters under Obamacare.

The food bill might be a deductible expense for the web business.

Normally I disapprove of government interference with parental authority, but in this case, I think the daughter needs to be either handed over to relatives or removed from the home completely.

It will be interesting to hear the daughter's opinion of the mother when the daughter reaches the age of 30.

I'm sure she will insist on being charged only one coach airline ticket to travel.

And of course she will insist her obesity is a disability covered under the ADA.

Ms Simpson makes money by running a website where men pay to watch her consume fast food.

I'm not sure which curdles my milk more, the fact that she came up with the idea for her website, or the fact that her website generates revenue...

I wonder if the people providing the revenue realize they're ostensibly paying to watch her kill herself.

She is not content with dumbest?

Post of the day.

Thanks for making me laugh. Too bad it is at her expense, though. It really is a sad story.

They say the record for fattest is 1,800 pounds.
