This is probably one of the most dangerous things you can eat uncooked. Land snails are vectors for some of the most wicked parasites in the world. There are some that will hatch out in your stomach and burrow into your body till reaching the brain and feast on it till you’re dead. Not a good way to go.

It looks like they all got some of the parasites you mention. FTA: Followers said they got violently ill, losing weight and developing strange lumps in their stomachs.
