After a 20-13 victory over Baylor on Nov. 28, 2009, Leach is seen criticizing his players and ripping into them for thinking a close loss to Texas was acceptable. "There's a couple of you guys that your current living situation is going to change," Leach says. "We've got several of you, particularly on offense, all you do is pull mediocrity out of one another. Well, you're going to live somewhere else. Last time I checked, we're paying the [expletive] bills." After a 42-21 victory over Kansas on Oct. 31, 2009, Leach questions a group of players and calls them "God squad guys." "Your whole head's got to be on defense," Leach said. "Your whole head has to be on offense. Your whole head for that play has to be on special teams. If you're not doing that, you guys who are throwing the book around all the time, you're defying the book." Leach was fired with cause as coach at Texas Tech in December with four years remaining on a five-year, $12.7 million contract. The move came two days after Leach was suspended amid allegations that he mistreated Texas Tech receiver Adam James, the son of ESPN analyst and former NFL player Craig James. The school contends it owes Leach nothing because he was guilty of insubordination after filing for a restraining order to coach his team in the Alamo Bowl after being suspended.... A gag order has been placed on both parties in the lawsuit by the judge overseeing the case. Reached on Thursday, Leach said he could not comment on the video because of the gag order, according to Orangebloods.com. Texas Tech athletic director Gerald Myers, reached in Kansas City at the Big 12 basketball tournament, also declined to comment because of the gag order.

Any other questions on ESPN bias?
So they fired this guy for doing his job?
They fired him because he got a really nice contract they did not want to pay. There are letters from Dallas boosters from over a year ago (when the contract was signed) talking about what scenarios could get rid of Leach. These were sent to the AD.
ESPN sucks. I wish there was a decent alternative.
If we slacked too much, after the game he'd chew us new ones, usually right after asking the moms to leave (dads could stay, of course).
If that is as bad as Leach got we would have to fire every college coach in America. For that matter, every high school and middle school coach and most of the little leaguers. Good grief. I’ve been in locker rooms where that level of intensity would have elicited snores.
Say what?
I'll spare you my opinion of this deal 'cause it doesn't really matter anyway.
I'll say that I haven't watched this video and I'm not going to.
If it's true that another school, particularly another school in the conference is working behind the scenes in this deal then things have gotten way out of hand in the conference.
I've heard people say that some in the conference are more equal than others. I started wondering about it myself at last season's championship game. (Again, trying to keep my opinion out of it 'cause it doesn't matter and my team wasn't in it anyway.)
Now this. If it's true it's just dirty.
From what I understand, this is how these videos came about:
Tech videotaped these speeches
Texas used the Freedom of Information to get the videos, then delivered them to ESPN
Definitely looks like there was an effort to make Leach look bad by more than just ESPN. Im sure Mack Brown has never sworn twice (as adjectives to describe someone, not directly at someone) in his locker room.
The moral is, in college football coaching today, you are a robot, or you will be taken down.
Wait, let me say that over: I don't see how another school can involve themselves in somebody else's soap opera in good conscience.
I see your point about Craig James and ESPN, too.
I’m sure the UT players have heard worse than this - of course, they heard it from their probation officers, so....
This is quite common actually. The SEC is full of this kind of subterfuge.
Understatement of the day. They are the CNN of sports news.
Man, my old baseball coach used to rip us much harder than that whenver we got sloppy, complete with prolific use of creative profanity and lots of flying equipment around the clubhouse.
UT media site - WRONG. Orangebloods.com is a fan site. Bottom of their front page says “This website is an officially and independently operated source of news and information not affiliated with any school or team.”
Why would you say this was “released by the University of Texas’ media site”? Try dbl-checking your facts next time.
Because it is a web site to promote the University of Texas. Aside from that, do you have anything relevant to say about what Leach said?
