A Korean anime fan has proudly tied the knot with a pillowcase featuring the image of his favorite magical girl heroine.
Heavy Rain asked the player, "how far would you go for love?" Would you go so far as to travel to another country? Would you kill a man? Or would you just decide that your soulmate was a fictional character and marry her image printed on a cotton pillowcase?
A Korean otaku opted to go with the last option, wedding a dakimakura body pillow featuring the image of Fate Testarossa, one of the popular heroines of magical girl show Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha. Not only has this particularly dedicated fan married his favorite pillowcase, he also takes her out on dates to restaurants and to amusement parts, as chronicled on media sites.

freaks.
at least he’s not a furrie.
Otaku is extremely negative in meaning as it is used to refer to someone who stays at home all the time and doesn't have a life (no social life, no love life, etc) Usually an otaku person has nothing better to do with their life so they pass the time by watching anime, playing videogames, surfing the internet (otaku is also used to refer to a nerd/hacker/programmer).
We generally shouldn’t let crazy people walk around until one day they forget what reality looks like and decide to drop an anvil on someone’s head.
Who the heck was that furry we had on here some months ago??
Indeed.
"THOSE AREN'T PILLOWS!!!!"
oh... the Second Life guy? The virtual furry?
I forgot his handle.
Congressman Massa, is that you.
But she’ll never say ‘no’, ask him where he’s been, and the pre-nup’s a snap!
“Axelbookmite.”
I fear that two of the funniest threads, of which I had posted, are deleted. However, for those who might be interested, I did find this nugget:

Wow! Didn’t know that. Guess I am too old for all these new toys.
Don't feel bad, I didn't know either so I looked it up. BTW, I forgot to give credit for the source. I forget which it was, but it was an online urban dictionary of some sort.
Otaku is originally a Japanese phenomenon . Some months back young Japanese man wanted to marry an anime character but just on paper . This orean took it much further with the pillow case figure . Carzy world .
When they have a spat, it’s really a pillow fight..
I remember that!! lol!!
I tried, tried to be nice! It was hard to type while laughing so much.
You know what??
Thats NOT the same thread I remember. hahahaha
PING!!
You know, in those deleted threads, I had laughed so hard that I cried. I sure wish those were still around, because I’d like to revisit my comments to him.
And, I, too, tried to be polite. Sadly, it seemed obvious that he was being genuine and that he had a rather fragile personality.
He was easily the most accidentally humorous person I’ve ever read on Free Republic.
I hope he is okay.
