Moviegoer Tells Woman to Stop Talking on Cell Phone, Gets Stabbed in Neck

A woman talking on a cell phone during a movie didn't take kindly to being "shushed" by another moviegoer. Or at least her boyfriend didn't.

In a drama that turned more lively than the one on screen -- "Shutter Island" -- the boyfriend allegedly attacked and stabbed the "shusher" in the neck with a meat thermometer. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said the stabbing occured Saturday during a screening of the Martin Scorsese film.

The stabbing victim is expected to survive and is recovering at a hospital. Two others who tried to help the victim also were injured, according to Whitmore.

According to sheriff's officials, the suspects were described as black males. One man was wearing an orange hat with an orange jersey and the other man was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt.

There was no word on why the man had a meat thermometer in a movie theater.

Years ago Howard Stern had a riff on this, and said he was afraid to stand up and leave part way through the movie (when black folk in the theater were yelling at the screen and making anti-white comments about the movie), because he would be accused of racism and beaten. He laughed about it in the way only the insulated ultra-wealthy can, but this is a real danger to regular folks.

Our public spaces no longer belong to us, but rather the miscreants and thugs of society. They set the tone with their love of violence, and I'm beginning to think the only way to ever reverse this trend is a real Civil War. Our government will certainly NEVER addresss this dynamic, because the liberal idea in play here is that it is better to have good people cower in fear and be beaten and murdered rather than address the root cause.

If I had a kid I would be afraid to let them roam free, so bad is the thuggery around my area.

I don’t believe that black people are biologically inferior to any other kind of people. My Catholic faith does not allow racism.

I don't either. I know plenty of black people that have pulled themselves out of the ghetto and lead productive lives to know this isn't true.

That being said, I've grown so fed up with the thug culture, ignorance and dependance that has turned our cities into decaying, crime-ridden cesspools that I'm no longer going to be politically correct or to try and deny the obvious. I knew from the title alone the assailants would be black. That's not racism, that's personal observation.

Well, I'm sick of tap-dancing around the obvious.

Thugs have ruined everything. Shopping malls, amusement parks, movie theaters, the list goes on. Developers sink millions into revitalized a downtown area with upscale shops, restaurants and nightlife and thugs scare away everyone with money. A city spends millions on a light-rail transportation system and thugs scare away all the civilized riders. Can't even take a kid to Chuck E. Cheese anymore without risking gunfire.

As far as I'm concerned, this violent thug culture is more of a threat to the American way of life that Islamic terrorism and should be dealt with as such.
