Stern has often admitted that he looks hideous himself, and he's done OK in show business - he even managed to make a movie. Why would he rule out the possibility of this girl - who seems extremely nice, very personable and very funny in interviews - making it in show business? If a guy like Jack Black can become a star in movies, so can Gabourey Sidibe.

Just saw 'Precious' last night - not a great movie IMHO, but that wasn't Sidibe's fault: she can definitely act. And the woman who played her mother certainly deserved her Oscar - one of the most loathsome characters I've ever seen on screen.
