CHARLOTTE, N.C. – NASCAR will not suspend Carl Edwards for intentionally wrecking Brad Keselowski's car during last weekend's race at Atlanta.
There had been a loud cry for NASCAR to punish Edwards for returning to the track Sunday after an earlier wreck with Keselowski and then deliberately causing a crash. The contact sent Keselowski's car flying into the air, and it bounced on its hood off a retaining wall. No one was injured.
A person familiar with NASCAR's discussions said Edwards will not be suspended for his actions.

I was wondering the same thing! This was so intentional Edwards should have been charged with a crime of attempted murder!

....after NASCAR hailed the return of driving to the drivers, Helton has to spin his decision. Cue the music, the soft shoe is about to start.
The drivers had been doing a pretty good job of self policing themsleves this season under the latest edict from Nascar.
This event Sunday was more a lingering feud kind of thing that hopefully now, will be finished once and for all.. Let’s race, not wreck..

Carl is a dangerous bully. That’s been obvious ever since that clip of him threatening to punch the smaller and non-threatening Matt Kenseth a couple of years ago.
Carl expected Keselowski to back off at Dayton and let Carl block him as they raced for position. Didn’t happen and he went for a flip, but that was Carl’s fault.
Carl was so many laps down Sunday, they weren’t even racing but decided it was payback time. Carl has no class.
But he’s pretty and can do a back flip, so he’ll skate.
Punt another driver into the wall while driving a non-sponsored ride.

If the story is accurate, NASCAR has lost their mind.
Maybe the local DA might want to prosecute for aggravated assault?
did not see the wreck in question but i have to ask and will be chasitised for asking this question....
did edwards do anything any worse than what dale sr did almost on a weekly basis...??...and where was the outrage when he did it....
