I once watched one hit my truck in the driveway and fall to the ground. I picked it up thinking it was dead.

It stayed in my hands for 30 minutes slowly waking up, then took off..and almost hit my truck again.

we had a circular feeder that had a post sticking up from the top that you hung on the tree with a saucer like feeder with little feeding spots....there was also a ring of plastic around the outside so the little guys could rest...

one evening I just happend to look out and a hummer had somehow wedged himself under the lip and was stuck there....

we thought it was a goner...but my hubby gently pulled it out, held it for a few minutes...it didn't move....must have been stunned...but it eventually got its mojo back and flew away.

Your truck wasn’t a Hummer by chance?
