I no longer listen to what they call “Country” music today. Listening to Rascal Flats, Taylor Swift, Big & Rich etc, sounds like someone running their nails down a chalkboard. Alan Jackson and George Straight nailed it with this tune..

Country music died in the mid-'80s. That's when the MTV-ization of all music began and all that mattered was a photogenic youthful appearance.

Country music as a kid was Charlie Rich, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash, Eddie Rabbitt, Ronnie Milsap and T.G. Sheppard.
