Sean Penn has opened fire on critics of his recent mercy mission to Haiti, stating he hopes they all die of rectal cancer.
The controversial "Mystic River" star has been so caught up in the relief effort in earthquake-ravaged Haiti in recent weeks, he hasn't paid attention to what politicians and newsmakers have been saying about him.
But, now he's home, the 49-year-old can't believe his actions have upset so many people - and he's disturbed that his critics can't just see the good in what he's trying to do in Haiti, where he helped establish a private relief organization.
In a taped TV interview, which will air this weekend on CBS News Sunday Morning, Penn rages, "Do I hope that those people die screaming of rectal cancer? Yeah. You know, but I'm not going to spend a lot of energy on it."
He isn't letting the criticism affect his plans to return to Haiti - and he's taking his teenage kids with him: "They're gonna help... The first person served by service is the server. You know, there's nobody in the world that isn't looking for a kind of purpose in life, and tangible purpose is the most immediately recognizable."
And Penn insists his celebrity input is helping the people of Haiti: "We were able to get X-ray machines, and ventilators, and do all kinds of things."

Wait a second, who was criticizing his visit to Haiti? If he went there and is providing charity on his own fruition, I don’t see any problem with that.
This article isn’t specific about which ‘critics’ or what they were saying, it just implies that a bunch of ‘mean people’ have something against his visit to Haiti. Of course, the reader is left with the impression that there are Sean Penn ‘critics’ who like to see Haitians suffering. That’s not only inaccurate, it’s just plain dishonest.
If this article is referring to the completely separate issue of his politics, then that’s fair game. It’s called a DIFFERENCE OF OPINION and most of the time, Seanboy is wrong.

I have no idea whether there are actually any “critics” of Sean Penn’s Haiti mission, but if there are I’m sure the issues have to do with pathetic grandstanding by this leftist twit, and not anyone objecting to saving lives in Haiti etc. I’ve contributed to Haiti relief but I sure wouldn’t want to steer one penny toward a self-aggrandizing clown like Sean Penn -— I’d never trust the likes of him to make the best use of funds no matter what he and his media shills may say.

The thing about someone like this jackass is that he is rich as can be because of our capitalist economic model. He should be extremely grateful. Instead he does nothing but attack the only thing thats made a mediocre “talent” like him ultra-rich. Were he to live in his beloved Venezuela or Cuba he’d be living in a hovel.
Sounds to me that - unlike Obama - Sean Penn actually did something to help Haitian earthquake victims.
