INDIANAPOLIS (AP)Minnesota coach Brad Childress knows one way to get a definitive answer from Brett Favre(notes).
Wait.
Im not going to put him in any box, Childress said Friday at the NFLs annual scouting combine. Four weeks and change, hes still healing up from that game (the NFC championship). Hes kind of earned that latitude.
Whether the three-time MVP needs a month or an entire offseason .. Childress isnt pressing the issue. He spoke with Favre twice this week, but football was not the primary topic.
Instead, the three-time league MVP was busy putting down fresh limestone on a road that leads to his mother-in-laws house, which is on Favres property in Mississippi.

Quit already, geez.
I love it...can’t wait to hit the old hometown next week and listen to KFAN...its wonderful not having to deal with his sh!t down here in Wisconsin anymore.
Why should he? He’s still one of the best QBs in the league, and the NFL is really hurting for good, young QBs.
O...K...
he’s a good ol’ boy,, taking care of his momma.. hope he’s manning the beer cooler and supervising..
I hear ya tho,, he must heal quick or enjoy pain..
No kidding, his stats are more than solid.. his tossing arm was not an issue the entire year..
Tell Farve to go stand in front of the mirror and admire himself.
I agree with you.
Let the hornheads have fun putting up with the Prima Donna’s bullcrap.
At least we know that our guy (Rodgers) is a team player.
but but.. He’s the Marlon Brando of the league and a better dancer, to boot.
Training camps open in July... who knows what will happen this season..
Too bad the Vikes can’t draft Tebow. :-)
Why don’t you quit your job already?
Manning the beer cooler and enjoying the Brees?
What a run for both guys.. Someone had to lose..
Next year..
Childress could call his old boss Andy Reid and get McNabb for a second round pick. That would buy him a few years to develop a young quarterback. Of course, that decision only makes sense if Favre does retire. Childress is probably wishing Favre would make up his mind in the next week.
I honestly don’t think Tebow is an NFL QB. He relies on running too much and NFL linebackers are faster, stronger and smarter than college.
Besides Grossman (and I’m taking liberty there), I can’t remember one Florida QB whose had a significant impact on the NFL going back to Crybaby Spurrier days. Most wash out.
