here’s a thought for those who move into areas down here.

If you move then do not get pissed off that a deer, a bear, etc walks across your gated community.

We had a bear living at the back of us and all the locals here never minded but no they built these million dollar 4 miles up the road from us ,

Anyway the snotty nosed yankess who moved down here wasn’t content on knocking down acres upon acres of land for the 3,500 sq ft homes to 5,000sq ft homes so they wanted the county , for us to pay for a new school for them because they felt their kids shoiuldnto go to school wit our kids, they then asked for a fire station near them in case of a fire.

But then they said kill the bear what has lived here for year and had a cub, they then had the deers killed, the bear killed and the wild hogs killed.

tough the hogs were there first so if they don’t like it then piss off to where they came from

I have mixed feelings about 150 lb wild hogs. They sure do a lot of damage, but then again, that size is just right for really good eatin’.

They may be hard to trap, so why not let people shoot them and have a hog BBQ? It brings all the neighbors together, and a good time could be had by everyone.

As Travis McGee notes, it is a good way to practice using your night vision gear as well.

I have to disagree on the hogs. They are a nasty invasive species that is not native to the area. They should be shot on sight. They damage the local environment and ruin it for native species. They also breed far beyond the capacity of the land to sustain them.

...and saying that, I live in a neighborhood with deer, coyotes, foxes and other large wild animals that are not considered a problem. There is a huge difference between native species and invasive species.
