Conservatives do need to reconsider Newt. I say this not to revisit the charges. Let's not. We all know them, I agree with almost all (NY23..brrrr). However...Newt is the best there is in some areas. Don't want him to do another NY23 but as a tactician, as a theorist and a historian, he is terrific. His speech at CPAC was great. He said it is time to talk about the corruption of government unions. He wants to make the NYC teacher "Rubber Rooms" the subject of a national debate. He wants congress to pass a law cutting off funds to states which allow such corruption.
Newt takes the battle to the enemy. He attacks at the weakest point. No navel gazing, no lamentations about what a failure Republicans have been. Identify the target, rally the troops and attack. That is what will win.

Good impersonation of BOR. Wish I could have heard it. Fair and balanced means no mind and no core principles. He’s all over the map. I sent him an e-mail to that affect years ago. Not that he would have read it or even pay attention if he had.
