As part of my daily routine, I'm reading a conservative online newspaper. I click the headline about "citigroup", and right away I repost the "facts" on a social network. Only to further reasearch it, (right here on good ole free republic) and find out, not so fast..it isn't as it seems. In fact, Citigroup makes a statement contrary to the entire article. So I take personal responsibility for taking it at face value, but shouldn't those kind of headlines be relegated to somewhere besides the front page?
I live for threads like these.
No nuts one of the family members whine if I put nuts on top.
no..not drunk.
Guess just upset.
Anymore explaination then that will further the ridicule.
I know words aren’t supposed to hurt, but they do.
Me too!
It’s not about what you posted. It is all the funny things others are coming up with. Smile and enjoy the thread. It is not about you anymore. It is about bunnies with pancakes on their heads.
Please don’t take it personally! Many of us have been here - I know I have. I misspelled a word in a post correcting someone’s grammar once. I endured days of teasing posts living that down! I promise it’s not really about you so just shrug and smile and see where it goes - you may have created a famous thread :-)
I knew what you were talking about.
(but i’ve been following that story - it’s important!)
Don’t let these responses get you down - go with it!
You will be remembered fondly for being a good sport.
;-)
Famous thread!? God Forbid. :)
Thank-You. :)
So are you saying that you BELIEVED Citi’s ‘nothing to see here, move along’ excuses for the notice that was mailed out? I will find it hard to feel sorry for anyone who keeps their money in Citibank after that notice was published who subsequently has a hard time withdrawing their $$ when needed.
I don’t have any money in this bank.
Not sure if it’s true or not.
Yea, I don’t either, but if I did, I would get it into a credit union ASAP. After all the TARP money the banks were ‘forced’ to accept, I think the government can now compel those banks to do anything for ‘the good of the people’...
