I find it odd that someone would fly across the world to take care someone elses personal affairs and their home. Who does that until someone is incapacited, missing, or completely incompetent.

A very high degree of intelligence in a particular field is sometimes accompanied by a fair degree of thoughlessness or even stupidity in others. They just get so absorbed that the day to day seems trivial, I guess.

It was his brother and he wasen’t married, so I guess he was the logical one to do what has to be done. Evidently no relatives in the states.

I think that the article means that his brother flew in to take care of things AFTER brother went missing.
