Please help. I plan to keep this thread alive until McCain loses the primary. Let's NAIL THAT RINO!
Please help scout for headlines to bring here. I will ping people here once a week with choice headlines and links. [Since it's the OPPOSITE of high volume, several have already signed on.]
If you would like to be on this once-a-week ping list, please let me know. Any helpful links will be appreciated.
"The most recent online scores from the American Conservative Union are from 2008. In that year, John McCain scored 63 and had a lifetime average of 81.43. ... Hayworth's last full year in Congress was 2006. His 2006 ACU score was 96, his 2005 score was 100, and his lifetime average was 97.56." [Top 4%] [American Thinker]
Remember when McCain spoke up for Obama?
'McCain faced a booing crowd Friday for rebuking a man who said he would be "scared... to bring a child up" if Obama was elected president, "I have to tell you he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States," McCain said.' [snip]

Someone needs to drive a wooden stake through this guy’s heart.”

About 20 teams, ranging in size from one to five people, travel to Mexico each year for short visits to assist in training, Renuart said. Most are veterans of Afghanistan or Iraq. Northern Command started sending advisory teams there about two years ago.

Given that McCain has spent the last ten years running for president, with more time in Iowa & N.H. than Arizona, I thought it would be interesting to see just how often ‘the maverick’ bothers to show up for Senate votes.
Well, guess what, as bad as Obama was, McCain was even worse. [snip]Sen. John McCain (AZ) — the only current Republican presidential candidate who is a sitting U.S. senator — has missed more votes than any other senator since Congress convened in January, with the exception of Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD), who spent months recuperating from a brain hemorrhage. According to washingtonpost.com’s U.S. Congress Votes Database, Obama has missed 74 out of 93 roll-call votes (79.6%) since the end of the August congressional recess. McCain has missed 63 out of 93 roll-call votes (67.8%) since the end of the August congressional recess. But for the entire year, McCain has missed 79 more votes than Obama; since January, McCain has missed 212 out of 403 (52.6%) roll-call votes in the 110th Congress, while Obama has missed 133 out of 403 (33.0%) roll-call votes.

AntiConformist911 June 29, 2008 Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) became the most absent member of the Senate. According to the Washington Post’s votes database, McCain has “missed 367 votes (61.4%) during the current Congress.” In fact, CQ reports today that McCain hasn’t voted in the Senate since April 8.
On the other hand, J.D. Hayworth has missed only 1% of his votes in congress

Somalis with terrorist links feared headed to U.S. border
[snip]Somalis with ties to a terrorist organization are believed to be plotting to illegally enter the United States after being mistakenly released from custody in Mexico, a confidential federal law enforcement report said. SNIPPET: Included in the group is Mohamed Osman Noor, 35, of Somalia, who U.S. officials suspect has strong ties to Al-Shabaab Mujahideen, an Islamist insurgency group in the ongoing war in Somalia with ties to al Qaeda. USCIS Robs Social Security Fund of $1 Billion a Year
http://www.cis.org/north/OPT-social-security
How does this impact Social Security? The work being done by OPT nonimmigrants would otherwise be done by either residents of the U.S. or H-1B workers; members of both groups pay FICA and Medicare taxes. OPT workers, like others on F-1 visas, pay no such taxes. The Center estimates that if the OPT program participants, who are not students and who often hold jobs in the $60-$90,000 a year range, were to be covered by FICA and Medicare it would bring at least $1 billion a year to these hard-pressed government funds. It would take a one-line act of Congress to close the gap.
