I think her resignation from the governorship will finish her off. Her opponents can label her a “quitter” and ask why she couldn’t handle the governorship if she expects to “man” the presidency. Another serious problem: jealous women won’t support her.

No, they can’t.

Palin gave up executive power because it was best for the people.

On top of that, she ensured fulfillment of her gubernatorial obligations by handing the reigns to a trusted conservative lieutenant governor. She obliterated the Democrats’ attempts to defeat her.

Romney would have first wet his pants, then run home crying to his mommy.

I am reminded of my two favorite moments in American history...

1. The winter in Valley Forge when George Washington, realizing that his leadership had fully demoralized his troops, quit for the good of the cause and went home to write a book.

2. The time when Abe Lincoln realized that his Presidency so pissed off half of the country that they actually split...he of course realized that he couldn't govern effectively if half the country wanted to kill him, so he quit and went home to write a book.
