Mielke ran in 08 against Obey getting a respectable result as a Republican, and would run as a Republican in the July 13th Republican primary.

He lost by 22 points, I don't think that I would back him for a rematch either.

It is far too early to pick any candidate for president. Rock stars make lousy presidents:...take look at the one we got.
RE The Palin endorsement in WI 7th
The merits of either candidate is not the issue...That is for the voters in that district to decide
What is at issue is this;
Right now its time to concentrate on the congressional races and encourage conservatives to run for office . At a time when conservatives in the GOP are urigng other conservatives to run in Republican primarys rather than signup with a 3rd party and run in the general election thus ensuring the same-o same-o .

A major conservative figure decides to abandon that policy and endorse a candidate’s flash fund raiser before a primary, who’s prefered by GOP blue bloods, leaving the general impression that he is running unopposed by a conservative who is not, “prefered” and both going against an entrenched democrat /socialist congressmember .

What kind of message does that send to other potential candidates ?
