What a confused and confusing news report! But that’s a good dog, and however that little girl got lost, wherever this took place, it’s a sweet tale. Dogs are the best.

Good dog!

It’s amazing they were spotted. That northern Arizona wilderness is rugged and there’s a lot of it. They found the needle in they haystack.

Dogs like me better than most people like me! That's why I'm a dog lover.

Had MANY cats, but no cat could do what that dog did for the little girl. You can't make up stories like this!

It’s an Australian [Pit] Cattle Dog....;^D

[they became quite popular after Mad Max wandered the wastelands with his]

They are natural protectors/herders/defenders.

She couldn’t have had a better babysitter...:)

[well, except maybe for her *parents*, that is]

Makes you wonder.

My parents knew where I was, every second of every day, even ~after~ I left home and got married.

My dad still frets if I “disappear” for too long and I’m forty-freakin’eight, fer cryin’ out loud.

[at least he’s finally lifted the “be-home-by-midnight-or-I’ll-unleash-the-hounds” curfew]

;-)

according to our local news the mom is not a dog-lover and Blue wasn’t long for this home, but claims that has changed after this. Heelers are very smart dogs.
