In , 2002, Bishop walked into an International House of Pancakes in Peabody with her family, asked for a booster seat for one of her children, and learned the last seat had gone to another mother.
Bishop, according to a police report, strode over to the other woman, demanded the seat and launched into a profanity-laced rant.
When the woman would not give the seat up, Bishop punched her in the head, all the while yelling "I am Dr. Amy Bishop."
Bishop received probation and prosecutors recommended that she be sent to anger management classes, though it is unclear from court documents whether a judge ever sent her there. The woman, identified in court documents as Michelle Gjika, declined to comment, saying only "It's not something I want to relive."

Mass is a state with some of the most nasty vile people you would ever want to meet. Mass holes is correct. I had the bad fortune of being transferred here for my job. (my apologies to the few reasonable people here). I long for the Midwestern days again or down south.
To: Onelifetogive
They better be careful in Mass. Her ghost might vote this fall.

I don’t know but the people here are nuts. I have never met such nasty people in all of my life. Something in the water perhaps...There are a lot more Amy Bishop types here.

And, yet they have the nerve to talk about the people in the South as uneducated hicks. Don't get me started. I will take the people here over those wackos any day. I have been wondering how well she fitted in down here.

Whoa. WRT Hans Reiser, you really nailed it (I just finished the Wikipedia page on him). Another genius with heavyweight personality issues and a dead body he had nothing to do with.
I think the Leopold and Loeb case was like that too. Man oh man.

In one of the early stories on the recent shooting, I thought I saw where the university is alleging the couple used university equipment to develop the device, therefore the university has rights to it and they dont. Realizing that and not being able to shove it away in denial might push a special person like this over the top. I believe that's an argument that a commenter has posted on several blogs, as an excuse for the shootings, but there's no proof the university has done that.
This "special person" appears to have a history of a very low frustration tolerance, and very poor impulse control, to say the least.
