Somewhere there is a naked Porcupine!
This Pit Bull decided he would attack a Porcupine; but being brave, he learned the hard way that you can't always win, no matter how tough you are. The vet sedated the dog and removed 1347 quills...the dog survived and hopefully learned a lesson.
1.Choose your fights wisely.
2.Don't mess with Porcupines!
....
Tomato sauce bath.
There are no bad porcupines.....just bad porcupine owners.
Interesting, I hope I never need it.
1) those pictures are really old...I first saw them, and heard the story years ago.
2) that’s not a pit bull.
3) it’s also not a male.
2005 Inca the female bull terrier.

A tomato juice sponge bath works. Just soak a rag and start scrubbing, then wash it off with warm water.
I found that dogs really enjoy being bathed in food.
“Pitt Bulls ARE NOT dogs and permits should be required to own them.”
MORE government, to issue MORE permits, to REGULATE dog ownership, is NOT conservative.
Everything said about pit bulls today was said about Doberman Pinschers 35 years ago.
I wrote sauce, should have written juice. We summered in the mountains when I was a kid, our dog got skunked and that was what got the stink off.

this dog vs. porcupine story has been circulating since May, 2005. As others here have noted, that is not a male pit bull, but a female bull terrier.
Thanks, I am going to ask my brother too, he is a vet and I am sure he has been asked this before.
You should be aware that the fumes from the skunk spray can make you vomit. The odor is is unbelievably strong. So, to dilute the stench and retain your lunch, it is best to keep the dogs outside to clean them.
Another reason to keep the dogs outside: If a sprayed dog cleans himself by rubbing on your rugs or carpets, the smell inside your house can last for days.
One of the best dogs I ever owned was a pitt. I respectfully disagree with you.
Now I’m so embarrassed!
No need...
We’re stocked up already just for this reason...
Thank You though!
LOL!
My ears are so red!
First off ... the dog shown in the picture is not a pit bull, it's a bull terrier. I've been involved with this breed for more than 35 years and you, pal, come across as one very poorly informed idiot. Any dumb ass**** can sit down at their keyboard and pontificate about something they are clueless about & you certainly fit that profile.
