Walter Fredrick Morrison, the man credited with inventing the Frisbee, has died aged 90. Utah House Rep. Kay McIff, an attorney who represented Mr Morrison in a royalties case, said he died at his home in Monroe, Utah, on Tuesday.
"That simple little toy has permeated every continent in every country, as many homes have Frisbees as any other device ever invented," Mr McIff said. "How would you get through your youth without learning to throw a Frisbee?" Mr Morrison's son, Walt, said that "old age caught up" with his father and that he also had cancer.
"He was a nice guy. He helped a lot of people," Walt Morrison said. "He was an entrepreneur. He was always looking for something to do."
Mr Morrison sold the production and manufacturing rights to his "Pluto Platter" in 1957. The plastic flying disc was later renamed the "Frisbee," with sales surpassing 200 million discs. Will he come back if you throw him up at a 45 degree angle?
(sorry)
I’ve always wondered what it took to keep the Super Ball inventor down.
Well I’m not going to catch him. LOL
When the writer of the “Hokey Pokey” died they had a hard time at the funeral.
They put his right foot in, he put his right foot out, they put his right foot in...
I always thought the inventer was named Frisbee. How else would they come up with such a name?

Me neither.
Frisbee historian Malafronte believes truck drivers for the company were the first to toss Frisbie Pie tins on the loading docks during idle times. The tins bore the words "Frisbie's Pies" and had six small holes in the center, in a star pattern, that hummed when the tin flew.
Post of the decade !!
LMAO......:o)
No, but it will if you throw it straight up!
(Will he come back if you throw him up at a 45 degree angle?)
Mr Wizard’s answer: No, but he will if you throw him straight up!
We believe that when you die, your soul gets stuck on the garage roof.
Without the Frisbee, Animal Planet could never have produced “Pet Star”. Half their acts would be non-existent, and they would have had to provide psychiatric therapy for a whole bunch of Labs, Goldens, Border Collies, etc.
I had a friend that was so totally addicted to crosswords that his will demanded that he be buried six down and three across.
LOL-They’re located in California no doubt.
As long as you get out of the way! :-)
LOL!
