Well, either this pit bull was the second coming of Cujo, or these cops need some serious lessons in marksmanship.
Pretty much sums it up. Couldn’t have said it better. It boggles the mind.
It’s not the breed, it’s the owner in 3...2...1...
Wonder what was in the shotgun? #6?
Maybe #8 light Quail.
Just last week, as my brother-in-law was getting out of his car after coming home from an errand, the damn thing charged up his driveway and bit his leg. Their home in on nearly an acre of land, with a huge front yard, so this thing had to literally be charging up the driveway as he pulled in.
He wound up kicking it to get it off his leg, but still needed stitches.
And yes, the stupid owners are claiming he must have "done something" to upset the dog. Like what? Pull into his own driveway?!
My sister is pregnant, and they have a little girl, my neice. If that beast hurts either of them, they won't need animal control for the dog...
Sure hope none of those officers have to depend on their marksmanship in order to put food on the table. Maybe next time they could try their hand at ropin’.
I’ve dispatched much larger animals with only one buckshot round. It seems to me they were bad shots and only one pellet on the side of the spray was hitting the animal, if any. If you miss with a shotgun, then you need to go back to the range to requalify.
(Just want to help out)
Ever see the Dog Whisperer rehabilatate a (so called) pit bull?
It was amazing. Even he was a little spooked when he first assessed the dog.
They are high energy dogs, so the first thing he did was put on a pair of roller skates and run the dog around the neighborhood on a leash at top speed.
After a good long run the dog was tired to the point of complete passivity.
He packed the poor critter into his van and took him to the clinic of "200 Dogs" where he relearned the necessary social canine habits a dog needs to survive in human society.
He also sternly trained the owners in the necessity of proper care of this type of high energy dog.
Repeat once again after me: it is the people, not the pet.
Best regards,
LMAO!
Anytime I shot a dog with a shotgun, they died right there. Never a need for more shots let alone 12.
Be proactive. Why wait for the women to get attacked? Poison meat does wonders.
“Repeat once again after me: it is the people, not the pet.”
Allow me, Copernicus. IT IS THE PEOPLE, NOT THE PET. I’m fortunate to know a pitbull that is a lover not a fighter. Raised right and trained right.
Just how many dogs have you felt the need to shoot or poison? Sounds like you have a lot of experience. Then again, you could just be shootin’ the shibulmouthoff. heh heh
That dog needs to disappear. If it’s on their property attacking them they have every right to kill the beast before it kills one of the children. I wouldn’t hesitate to kill it.
Agreed! I do not have a pit bull but my brother has one and it is one of the nicest and well behaved dogs around.
Punks, druggies, and wanna-be-tough guys/gals have given the pitbull a bad reputation. And a whole lot of these “pitbull killed” or “pitbull mauled” stories aren’t pits at all. They’re halfbreeds, unknown breeds, but the MSM labels them all the same.
Lots of folks don’t know that pitbulls are used in search & rescue and as drug-sniffin’ dogs helping our patrols.
They need .45s and much more range time. A shotgun with 00 buck will do but also requires much range time. Run pit bulls across the range for more realism in training.
‘When pitbulls are outlawed, only outlaws will own pitbulls.’
