I miss Dubya.

I wouldn't go. And if I was graduating, I wouldn't go either. I didn't go to my own graduation because it was too boring. My parents were furious that I didn't register for it. It never occurred to me that I would ever go or to put them through the tediousness of a huge graduation ceremony like that. My son didn't go to graduation either, which surprised me, but certainly didn't disappoint me.His high school graduation I wouldn't have missed for the world!

Or put “You Lie” on your palms a la Sarah Palin. When everyone else applauds, hold your hands at eye level.
Some kids wrote things on their hats last year at a graduation.

Simce no one seems to remember Obama at Columbia, he seems to be on a mission to sear the image of his arrogant face on memories of this generation of students.

Imagine if the entire student body had “Hi Mom” written on the right palm and “You’re lying” on the left. To see the One’s face when the hands were repeatedly raised would be priceless. And there is always the chance TOTUS would fail and hilarity would ensue.

Have friends and family over, grill out, grill in, have a party for your kid.
Screw Zero.
To: Rodebrecht; Pharmboy
Go and be respectful during the speech. But dont applaud.I agree.
The choices are to attend or to not. If attending then the above would be appropriate.

It might be a good chance for her to catch up on her reading, as this West Point cadet did during Obama's speech.

Of course, she would have to pick an appropriate book. Perhaps this:

My commencement speaker was the dean. My sister’s, however, was Maxine Waters. My family used the occasion to take a long nap.
So, that’s what I suggest you do, take a long nap. Counting “I’s” is a lot like counting sheep and should put you right out.

Yell “You lie” whenever appropriate. It will be very difficult for him to tell the truth or even simply speak neutral statements throughout an entire speech. Then you can still enjoy the diploma presentations.
Just kidding. Ignore the man behind the lectern and enjoy the rest. Any outrageous remarks may be alleviated by a boo or a hiss. I’ll stop now.

Laughing at him would be much more effective than booing. You are correct.
Obama cannot go for 2 minutes without a colossal laughable whopper.

The question is, Why would a good conservative parent send his child to a leftwing hellhole like Ann Arbor in the first place.
To: VastRWCon; Pharmboy
Personally I like this idea....
It's the truth....
And we are in IMO, drastic times.
FWIW....I'd do it, if I was her. I already have my degree...I'm comfortable in my skin. I don't need Obama to help me...!!
If the situation presents itself...I'd do it!!

Ha ha! You used Obama and Vanity in the title.
Seriously. It depends on what else is going on. Stay for the presentation of diplomas and then leave before the ego comes on stage.
