Emmy Award-winning actor Alec Baldwin was taken to a Manhattan hospital early today when his teenage daughter frantically called 911, claiming he had threatened to take pills after they got into a heated fight, sources said.
While the 12:10 a.m. call came in as a “possible alcohol or drug overdose,” sources told The Post that Baldwin never swallowed sleeping pills and had only threatened to do so.
The “30 Rock” actor, who lives on Central Park West, was released from Lenox Hill Hospital shortly after 1 a.m., according to sources.
“This was a misunderstanding on one person’s part. Alec was quickly released from the hospital; he’s completely fine and will be at work today,” said Baldwin's spokesman Matthew Hiltzik.

How old is his daughter?
I feel sorry for him. I can understand how a teenage kid can make you nuts,but I think he was already. Divorce is tough on kids. I imagine ugly, public ones even more so.
Right now, his daughter would probably feel lucky to be adopted by Haitians.(in Haiti)

My diagnosis is bipolar. He is so good at acting and has brilliant comic timing. He is violent and abusive and seems to have wild swings of mood.
I agree that he should not have any time unsupervised with his child(ren).

Been to both countries, and nobody in the press is mentioning any of this - Why is the such a MASSIVE difference between two countries that are literally occupying the same small island?
Haiti is a liberal mess. The DomRep has no social welfare system, and they don’t have 10,000 NGO’s operating there.
Think about that - 9,000,000 in Haiti, 10,000 NGO’s. That’s an NGO per 900 people.

That is the height of narcissism right there. Threatning to kill yourself to make others feel bad for the rest of their lives.
He’s making her the adult in the relationship. I wish the poor lady well with her adolesence, it’s not looking good. I’ve met a number of ACOAs. I’m sure that what becomes public between those two is only a small part of her struggle.
Dumb? Probably but at least he had the interests of his daughter in mind........
I'm leaving politics out of this and wishing whatever problems he has with his daughter can be healed and if the child does have a substance abuse problem, that she can be saved.......
Poor kid.
Horrible to have a dad that is emotionally your same age.
Next time Baldwin should take a few more sleeping pills and do us all a favor.
She looks sooo much like a brunette version of her mother Kim Basinger, it’s uncanny & good genes from her mother! :-)
