Not to wear out a subject, but when ordering drinks one night I kept one of the receipts because it just looked odd.

I just pulled it out and reviewed. It is hard to believe but here’s the break down.

2 drinks total - $17.00
Sales Tax $1.57
Beverage Tax $2.55
Total $21.12

The real crappy part about this is they are actually taxing the tax!

I’m wondering if they are screwing everybody and keeping the balance not due the city.

I think we have a sitter tonight...I will see about this ...and look at the bill...I live rural about 30 miles south of Nashville

I am not sure about this beverage tax but I bet fieldmarshaldj knows...let’s see

15% beverage tax on liquor and wine...Nashville city only....any restauraunt
