Michael Savage Explains Why Sarah Palin is a Mistake. Sound Clip Aired on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 .
Sarah says all the right things and her heart’s in the right place according to Savage. She’s just “unqualified”. I don’t know whether that means “female” or it means that Mayor of Wasilla and then Governor of Alaska isn’t enough preparation for another executive position.
I understand your reasoning. I’ve heard it before. The same things were said of a bumpkin named Ronald Reagan.
Michael Alan Weiner is either schizophrenic or a stalking horse for his closet leftist sympathies. His joy and glee at hearing the state of the union address were palpable over the airwaves.
He is hard to discredit though since he says just about anything and everything at one time or another. He's said so much stuff that no one calls him on - like in 2006 he screamed and ranted to vote out all republicans since they weren't conservative enough.
He had just about enough influence to hand the congress back to the democrats where they began their ransack of the national treasury.
His legal defense and offense funds and charitable donations funds are all he cares about in the long run. He's in it for the $$$, "that's all"..............
Aww.
You sound “concerned”.
You really need to open up, you’ll feel so much better.
Now. Tell us who you support. No waffling. Say it.
Michael Savage seems like Archie Bunker.
Hint: Carroll O’Connor ... was a liberal. Deliberately acting that way, to support his own (liberal) agenda.
I used to listen for the entertainment, but even THAT is no longer a valid reason.
Agreed.
Sarah is good for energizing the masses of normal people. Sarah should not be nominated for president. She would NOT be elected.
Drop it.
Perhaps SanFranSicko is where he's SUPPOSED to be.
Probably. My impression is that he thinks he's somehow separate and apart from SF. I don't agree.
Something about him became unlistenable to me around the time he had just stopped being banned in the UK. Something snapped during that episode. I couldn't take it anymore and he wasn't providing either useful or entertaining info any longer.
Bye-bye now, MS.
You are probably right. But I have met Christian women who immediately say the HATE Sarah Palin. I believe that women of a certain age are so conditioned as to believe only men can lead.
Savage did have Chuck Schumer on his program last year and it was truly a love fest.
Savage, like a few other loudmouthed ranters are really irrelevant for the most part.
Are you really comparing Sarah Palin to Ronald Reagan? Ever heard Ronald Reagan speak off the record, the man was brilliant and not only “Got it”, which seems to be the low bar some of you set for Sarah, but also had a vision and gameplan for forwarding his agenda. The man was Joe Montana and Sarah is Dante Culpepper, not even in the same league. I hate Weiner but he is right, we somehow nominate her and it’s a big “L”. She has sky high negatives and despite the 30% of America who are hardcore Tea Partiers, not much appeal to the folks we need to really keep on board. Seeing Sarah for a while now she with that flat delivery couldn’t inspire anyone. She was a very competant governor of a state,a great Mother and says “Aw shucks” with such conviction. To turn people away from their apparent march towards statism we need a Washington not a Grover Cleveland. No dandies who look good and say the right things in speeches.
A vote for Sarah Palin is a vote to keep Obama in the Whitehouse. The only qualification that she nhas is that the left dislikes her so therre are many on the right who will be drawn to her.
Who? I thought he was dead?
LLS
Savage has great instincts, and, although he occasionally gets carried away by his own cleverness, I think we should listen to him. I used to get irritated when he mocked Condi Rice for her immaturity and naivete, but he turned out to be right. Let’s not get carried away with Sarah. She hasn’t really been around the block yet. I think she could potentially be a great leader, but her tendency to be led astray by RINOs like McCain, Graham and Perry is distressing. She needs to toughen up her resilience against sweet-talking con-artists and realize where her true support lies.
What’s with all the “concern” on this thread.
Condi would have been a winning candidate and a fine president.
You don’t think women should lead, perhaps?...
It’s been pretty obvious for a while, that there’s a (strong) correlation between the really, really deranged Palin haters - and certain choices with regards to sexuality.
It’s the Anita Bryant button, being pushed somehow.
Sorry Savage, until your so called “perfect candidate” arises - you’ll have to deal with it.
I believe she is our best shot in defeating Obama, unless another black conservative suddenly appears.. Savage is sooo afraid the media will call her stupid - any white guy to run against Obama will be labeled as a racist.
Are you really comparing Sarah Palin to Ronald Reagan?
Well, in a way, yes. There are certainly differences. And as you point out, RR was a brilliant speaker, extemporaneously and in prepared speeches. Not many would compare favorably with him.
But, as has been pointed out many times on FR, Reagan's intelligence was constantly questioned, and even going into the elections of 1980, there were many attempts to diminish him. And there were many who said his nomination was a big "L". Certainly between 1975 and 1980, you could match his negatives with Sarah's today. I know, as a Reagan fan since 1964, I was there.
