I got stuck in Baltimore for three additional days because of the freaking snow that hit Friday. I was supposed to be home Saturday morning. I arrived at 8:40 last night. It’s snowing here in Cincy. I want Summer.

nope. I’d like to see 10” minimum every weekend dumped on the white house until july first.
I’d like to see the leaves turn, and fall the first week of september in washington DC.
I’d like to see next winter’s first snow fall...the last week of september in washington DC...and then another solid 9 months of hard packed snow.
Then after that I wanna see obama meet with algore and PUSH REAL HARD for cap and trade.

What used to be a Level 2 or 3 emergency is now classified as Level 1. Snowflakes have been the size of pop can diameters in this last week, and the 1st snow was a heavy snow that bent over lots and lots of trees & plants. Then, it froze and snowed more!
And people are dying from exposure or trying to shovel snow when they have heart attacks. They do every year, yes, but this is the moment.
Then, you see foreigners trying to ‘drive’ in snow when they’ve never seen streets like this.
And, you have school districts staying open because of the baby-sitting function for working parents, and for the free lunch and after school programs. It’s about getting that state money, after all.
But hey, MWR can close and cost the public $100 mm/day, give or take.
What’s it cost to fix snow plows anyway, or restock salt & sand?

I may be tired of Winter, I do love the Spring but in all honesty Summer in Jersey, even on the Jersey Shore can be mighty uncomfortable when the heat and humidity kick in.

How many 100+ degree days did we have last summer? Upper 90’s even? It really wasn’t that hot. I hope this is a trend. I like cooler summers and I want to buy a snow thrower but I don’t want to move north.

I particularly like the snow-blowing photo (linked below) at bottom right -- if you click to enlarge it this gives an idea of what the snow can be like here at the higher elevations in May/June:
