It has been snowing for 45 minutes now, and it looks like about 1/2 inch. I will be lucky to see my lilacs bushes tomorrow evening.
I did get a seed catalog today so I can dream of Easter, summer, and flowers.

LOL, thanks. The MODs pulled two funny posts. Must have been the visible back side of some old wrinkled men.

Yep, mild summer. I came back from my field work with ice water left over in the cooler.

Careful, the MODs have already pulled two posts that showed bare skin.
Neat pics though. Unfortunately even our grandkids are too old to enjoy Easter and spring.

I particularly like the snow-blowing photo (linked below) at bottom right -- if you click to enlarge it this gives an idea of what the snow can be like here at the higher elevations in May/June:

Just in case anyone is thinking about it ... this is WINTER, folks. Leave global warming, uh, er, I mean “climate change” out of it. This may be nothing more than a severe winter for the east coast. And we have had severe winters in various locations for a millennium.

The only thing I hate about a cold front coming through is the hugh humidity ahead of it.

I’m dreaming of a white Easter! Just like the ones I used to know. Where the tree tops glisten and children listen to hear the Easter bunny digging snow tunnels!

"TIRED OF WINTER ALREADY???"
No. I'm not tired of it at all--even in this land amongst the peaks, where summer never comes. My tires and boots wear spikes. The high drifts are hardened enough to walk on. The air is thin. The sky is dark blue at noon, while the moon shines brightly. The big bore six shooters like graphite instead of oil. The bears are asleep. The mountain lions, coyotes and wolv...feral German shepherds are hungry. The dogs prefer to lounge in the snow at below zero, F. The resident visitors from the coasts are all in their homes, far away.
And I like it. More! More! ;-)

We finally got back home from WDW just in time before BWI closed again. I guess there’s worse places to be be stuck since we tried to leave on Saturday. It would have been great except that we didn’t know from one day to the next where we would stay for the last three days we were there. And it costs an extra grand and more. I know violins now. Our neighbors already gave us a hard time as they said that we came back tanned. Then we had to deal with digging out.
We’re tanned(sorta) rested and back.

Oh TR, I am more than tired of winter. It’s been a hard one. The snow storms break up the monotony, but it’s tiring and it’s really not the type of excitement I’d prefer. My mother lost power Friday night into Saturday. Of course we could not pick her up because the roads were not passable or plowed. You know all about that. This storm may bring a lot of power outages again. Keep those flash lights and blankets handy.
Spring - it can’t come soon enough. Stay safe and warm.
