Does anybody still subscribe to Time?

I remember a few decades ago when it was a first class news magazine. I don’t even see it in doctors’ offices any more.

Maybe it’s because they hire learning-disabled leftists for their political analysts.

Seemed not too long ago the Leftists were screaming that we weren’t supposed to question their patriosm, yet they are they are doing this to those who don’t agree with them. The Left’s m.o.: When in doubt shout down your opponent with ceaseless attacks no matter how baseless.

I guess this is why the Media ignores anti-War protesters, pro-Abortion protesters, animal rights protesters, homosexual activists, radical feminists, illegal alien rallies and global warming scaremongers. Because they’re a loud vocal minority with no real political power.

"Time magazine senior political analyst Mark Halperin..."

That name.

Where do I remember that name from?

Oh yeah, he used to be in charge of political coverage at ABC News:

Halperin internal memo dated Friday October 8, 2004

It goes without saying that the stakes are getting very high for the country and the campaigns - and our responsibilities become quite grave

I do not want to set off and endless colloquy that none of us have time for today - nor do I want to stifle one. Please respond if you feel you can advance the discussion.

The New York Times (Nagourney/Stevenson) and Howard Fineman on the web both make the same point today: the current Bush attacks on Kerry involve distortions and taking things out of context in a way that goes beyond what Kerry has done.

Kerry distorts, takes out of context, and mistakes all the time, but these are not central to his efforts to win.

We have a responsibility to hold both sides accountable to the public interest, but that doesn't mean we reflexively and artificially hold both sides "equally" accountable when the facts don't warrant that.

I'm sure many of you have this week felt the stepped up Bush efforts to complain about our coverage. This is all part of their efforts to get away with as much as possible with the stepped up, renewed efforts to win the election by destroying Senator Kerry at least partly through distortions.

It's up to Kerry to defend himself, of course. But as one of the few news organizations with the skill and strength to help voters evaluate what the candidates are saying to serve the public interest. Now is the time for all of us to step up and do that right.

Who'd believe this activist turkey?

I would bet money that there were more Tea Party attendees in 2009 than copies of Time Magazine sold on the newsstand.

Barack Obama's gloriously American mongrel ethnicity and self-made intellectuality...

Is the author a comedian? "Mongrel ethnicity"...is that progressive for mixed race? I'm sure if a conservative uttered such an insipid phrase there would be no end of the accusations of racism.

As for Obama's "self-made intellectuality"...I thought he claimed he went to Columbia and Harvard...they not educating students at those institutions any longer? How about Obama's various mentors...they didn't teach him anything either? Maybe not, he doesn't seem to learn lessons well or quickly. OK, so I'll take his word for it, Obama made his own intellect, the god that he is...just goes to show he still hasn't made anything worth two cents.

Its such a small movement that the MSM spends a lot of time attacking it. lol.

Um-American again?? Gee, Steny Hoyer and Nancy Pelosi said so in a USA Today column last year during the Town Hall meetings.

I guess HUAC is coming back?

Halperin, political director for ABC News until 2007, appeared on the Sunday edition of ABC’s World News where he insisted Palin and tea partiers are “still not big enough or specific enough to do anything but criticize Obama, criticize the government” and while “that creates excitement,” it's “not a national governing movement.”

I'm not sure that Martha Coakley and the other Dem candidates from the first year of this dangerous Obama era would agree. We'll see if he changes his mind after the PA congressional race or after the November elections.

It really is priceless watching the left wing media try to define the Tea Party Movement, trying to make sense of it all, trying to figure out who the leader is — they really just don’t get it.
