Just in about 30 minutes ago> The boss paid per diem and hotel bill for the weekend, but I had no chargeable hours.
Pretty blah sitting in a hotel room for two days when you don’t really really really have to be out of town. It was worse i think than being just off for a day while on a job because with the 24” snow (er, global warming) there was nothing open and nothing to “see” like museums or local historical sites.
It sounds like you and gabz are going to get hammered again on Tuesday, Wed, and Thursday.
it would be a drag and i feel sorry you had to be away from home and bored. not much to see out the airport way there, snow or not. i am not looking forward to this. enough was enough and we have had ENOUGH.

God only knows what nemesis will do next-the first time we got together, he was my English Lit prof-newly hired part-time at a Catholic University, and involvement with students was an absolute no-no. Didn’t phase nemesis-he took me out on dinner dates at a dark, romantic Italian restaurant just blocks off campus. The only way I can excuse that behavior is that I was barely 21 and he 25-and dumb. When we hooked up again 20 years later, no such excuses apply.
I listed the numbers he left on my answering machine on my cell phone under the name “Nemesis”, and I’m gleefully waiting for the cell to ring and the screen to say “Nemesis calling”. Revenge is a dish best served cold...
