They’re legends..Did you hear Frank Sinatra in his later years...he sucked..but it didn’t matter..he was singing those songs and it was FRANK SINATRA. It’s the same thing with these bands...Rolling stones, WHO...THEY ARE LEGENDS...and if you don’t realize this, then you just weren’t from that generation and you’re not going to like anything.

I love and truly appreciate The WHO even though they were a little before my time. My kids love Townsend and Daltry, too. But to be completely honest, as a singer it hurt my voice to hear Daltry trying to hit some of those notes. I saw Plant & Page a few years ago (maybe 10 now) and they still put on one heck of a show, and were still full of plenty of energy, and Plant’s voice was great, too... I don’t think Daltry was ever taught how not to ruin his voice. It’s a real shame, IMHO.

Au contraire - The Who has been one of my favorite bands for decades. That’s why it was so painful to watch this dreadful performance.
